Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi attended a round table conference in Geneva today (Tuesday) that was organized by the Civil Society Organizations.
Representatives of world renowned civil society and human rights organizations were in attendance.
The Foreign Minister apprised the participants of continued gross human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and ensuing threats posed to the region.
He said sacrifices of the oppressed Kashmiris will bear fruit one day and they will get their due rights.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi appreciated the role of international media as well as human rights organizations for highlighting the barbarities perpetrated on innocent Kashmiris.
The civil society organizations that attended the round table conference included Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, International Commission of Jurists, International Service for Human Rights, International Federation for Human Rights, and Universal Rights Group.
