Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said that the rate of inflation and unemployment in the country has reached historic high and that the PPP would march from Karachi to Islamabad to get rid of the ''incompetent government" responsible for the situation.

He said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWM) at Larkana, where he also spoke about the gabrage issue in the city and surrounding areas.

Bilawal said that the Sindh government has resolved the waste management problem in many areas of Karachi where the PPP representatives were elected, but the areas under other parties could not be reached.

He said the task has been assigned to a Chinese firm since Islamabad and Beijing have had longsanding ties and brotherly relations since the time of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Bilawal said the Chinese workers of the company were the Sindh government’s guests at Larkana.

He also appealed to the residents of the city to cooperate with the company in order to keep the city neat and clean.

"We need to launch cleanliness drives to clean Larkana and other areas and this cannot be done without the cooperation of the people living there," he told those attending the ceremony.

Bilawal singled out Karachi administrator Murtaza Wahab for improvement in SSWMB’s performance, and said that it resulted in improvement in the city's cleanliness.
