Ghulam Nabi Memon has been appointed as Sindh Police chief after the federal cabinet approved his appointment.

“With the approval of the Federal Government, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Memon […] is transferred and posted as Provincial Police Officer (PPO),” said a notification issued by Cabinet Secretariate’s Establishment Division on Tuesday.

Earlier, the Sindh government suggested Memon’s name for the top slot.

The sources said that several names were considered in the federal cabinet for the top slot but Memon’s name was approved.
