Watch: How Dubai’s govt functions without a single paper

The city went paperless in December 2021
Dubai’s paperless strategy will be a game changer

Dubai’s government went paperless in December 2021, with all internal operations and customer services becoming completely digital. This was the main objective when they launched the Dubai Paperless Strategy launched in 2018.

The DubaiNow app already hosts most government services, including mundane tasks like renewing car registrations or even participating in charity events.

“DubaiNow was positioned to be the city services platform from which you can get more than 130 government services from one single mobile application,” said Dr Moza Suwaidan, Director of Strategy at Digital Dubai.

The services of more than 70 government and private entities can be availed through the application, in line with the view of making frequently used services a 100% digital.

Dubai first began providing services online via online and mobile platforms in the year 2000.
