A snippet of an interview has been making rounds on the internet where Indian actor Ranbir Kapoor is calling Anuska Sharma an “anxiety queen”, which may not be bad enough on its own, but the Shamshera actor doubled down on his statement and also brought up Anushka’s medication.

“She has to pop a pill even if she wants to have a conversation,” Ranbir said. “I have seen her do that. She pops anxiety killers, what are they called?”

“Prozac?” the interviewer asked. Anushka was not too amused with the exchange but maintained composure.

“I brought it up once and she (Anushka) got very upset and said you are using my medication against me,” the interviewer added.

Anushka clearly did not appreciate this deep dive into her mental health and also made the same clear albeit light-heartedly.

“And you are fine right?” the interviewer asked Ranbir, who directed the question to Anushka.

“I think he does drugs so that he can be a little more upbeat because he has such a subtle personality otherwise, so he has to do a couple of gestures with hand” Anushka retorted.

“Oh lines,” it dawned on the interviewer.

“You can’t say that on TV Anushka,” Ranbir said, to which the former replied that she will also spread news about him.

Twitter users did not appreciate Ranbir bringing up Anushka’s mental health, with some also alleging that Ranbir’s PR teams are hard at work to remove the footage from the internet as it implicates the actor.

While others thought it was sick to bring up her mental health issues and anxiety just for fun

Some called out the entire desi setup for the way they deal with mental illnesses

While some people were hoping that this entire segment was a joke. What did you think of Ranbir’s statements, tell us in the comments below.
