LSE sheds 3.59 points

LAHORE : The Lahore stock market Wednesday witnessed bearish trend as the LSE-25 Index lost 3.59 points to close at 3153.76 points as compared to 3157.35 points on Tuesday.

Total turnover however increased to 13.726 million shares on the day as compared to 13.554 million shares on Tuesday showing a difference of 0.172 million shares.

Of 114 active scrips traded, on the day 27 improved their rates, 40 lost their worth, while rates of 47 companies remained unchanged.

Engro Polymer & Chem. Ltd Corporation Limited emerged as major gainer of the day with an increase of Rs 3.92 in its share price to close at Rs 3.93.

Pakistan State Oil Co Ltd remained major loser of the day by decreasing Rs 4.49 in its share price to close at Rs 305.51 per share.

National Bank of Pakistan Limited appeared as volume leader of the day with 1.740 million shares, followed by Silk Bank Ltd with 1.594 million shares and WorldCall Telecom Limited with 1.175 million shares.
