TCP floats tenders for rice export

KARACHI : Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has floated two international tenders for the export of 25,000 metric tons of super basmati rice and 25,041 MT of IRRI-6.

A TCP official said here Wednesday that the tender for Basmati rice will be opened on April 19, 2010 while tender for IRRI-6 will be opened on April 20, 2010 at the Corporation's head office.

It may be noted that TCP had procured super basmati and IRRI-6 early last year to stabilise domestic prices on the instructions of the government.
