Abdul Hafeez Shaikh assumes charge of finance advisor

ISLAMABAD : Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has assumed charge of Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance, Aaj News reported on Friday.

Prime Minister Secretariat had issued a formal notification of appointment of Dr Hafeez as advisor on Thursday.

The slot for the Finance Minister was vacant from March first after the resignation of Shaukat Tarin due the personal reasons.

Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, a PhD in Economics, has authored many publications. He is an economist of international repute with over 30 years of experience in economic policy making, management and implementation.
