KARACHI : Sindh Assembly has requested Pakistan Cricket team captain Younus Khan to withdraw resignation and asked National Assembly standing committee on sports to ask ICC for imposing ban on umpire Simon Taufel, Aaj News reported.
Provincial Minister for Sports Muhammad Ali Shah said in the Assembly that levelling allegation about match fixing on Pakistan Cricket team is condemnable.
He further said team has performed well in ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan lost the semi-final due to wrong decisions of umpires.
He demanded for imposing one year ban on Australian umpire Simon Taufel.
