ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Wednesday said the government’s economic reforms agenda and sustained efforts had placed Pakistan on development track.
Talking to a delegation of POWERCHINA, a Chinese company, here, the Prime Minister said the government’s policy had made Pakistan a lucrative place for foreign investors.
The delegation lauded the investment policies of the government and told the Prime Minister that their company was already working on many projects and was interested in more investment in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister appreciated the investment plans by the company and said the government would provide all facilities to the investors.
The Prime Minister was told that POWERCHINA was playing an active part in the energy aspect of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, including two power plants of 660 MW each in Port Qasim and Gadani.
The Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) provides comprehensive and full-range of services in the development of hydropower, water works, thermal power, new energy, and transmission and distribution projects.
The meeting was attended by chief economist Power China Liu Ming Jiang, President Power China (M&E) Wu Wenhao, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Musadik Mailk, Secretary to PM Javaid Aslam, Secretary Water and Power Ms. Nargis Sethi and other senior representatives from both sides.
