MIRPUR: People across Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Saturday observed Black Day to mark protest on the eve of Indian Prime Minister Narrindra Moodi’s visit to occupied Srinagar on Saturday.
Call for the protest at both sides of the Loc was given by All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and the AJK government to appraise the world of the Kashmiris hatred against New Delhi and the illegal occupation of bulk part of the Jammu & Kashmir state by India at the might of her military power.
Hundreds of people from all walks of life thronged the streets today morning to join the protest rally to mark the Black Day, observed throughout AJK besides occupied Kashmir and rest of the world.
Addressing the protest rally at district court premises speakers including Chairman National Events Organizing Committee Ch. Amjad Iqbal, Muslim Conference leader Shakoor Mughal and others strongly condemned the continued forcible occupation of bulk of Jammu and Kashmir by India at the might of her eight lakh military and para-military troops in the Indian held Jammu & Kashmir state.
Speakers continued that the people of Jammu & Kashmir rendered massive sacrifices for a sacred cause and will continue the same spirit with high moral till their freedom struggle reached to its logical end.
Protest rallies and processions against Moodi’s visit to occupied Srinagar on Saturday, were also held in all other small and major towns including Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bagh, Bhimbher, Rawalakot, Neelam Valley, Haveili, Hattiyan and Sudhanoti districts to reiterate complete dissociation from India.
