LAHORE: A head constable and an accused of a murder case were killed as two groups resorted to firing in the premises of the Sessions Court here on Wednesday.
Police said that a suspect- Amjad, was shot dead after a gunman opened firing on him in the vicinity of the Sessions Court while the suspect’s accomplice, Ahsan, was also injured.
Head constable Asif, who was on duty in the Sessions Court, also succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
The alleged accused has been identified as Tauqeer who with his two accomplices managed to escape.
Police claimed that Amjad had killed Kala Gujar, the father of accused Tauqeer, in Nolakha area three years ago.
Further investigation is underway.—APP
