ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Finance Firdaus Ashiq Awan on Tuesday said that Prime Minister has directed to forward recommendation of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) about increase in prices of petroleum products to ECC for review.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad after the meeting of federal cabinet she said that the cabinet discussed OGRA’s recommendation to increase the prices of petroleum products by 14 rupees per litre and decided to send the recommendation to ECC for review.
It is pertinent to mention that yesterday OGRA had recommended increase of 14.37 rupees per liter in petrol price.
According to the summary sent, the prices of diesel was recommended to increase by Rs. 4.89, Kerosene oil Rs. 7.46 and light diesel by Rs. 6.40.
