KARACHI: Sindh Secretary Education, Dr. Fazaullah Pechuho has said besides academic activities, extra-curricular activities in the educational institutes are also important which keep the students physically and mentally healthy.

He was addressing as chief guest at the annual ceremony of the government girls degree college - Zamzama here, said a statement on Thursday.

He said that the Sindh government is working for the betterment and promotion of education on priority basis.

Addressing the occasion, Principal of the college Prof. Zakirya Qazi requested the provincial Secretary Education for appointments of more teachers in the college to overcome shortage and construction of auditorium.

The Secretary Education assured his full support to the Principal in this regard. Later, Dr. Pechuho distributed shield and prizes among the winners of different contests and among those students who performed extra-ordinary in other activities.

Director General Colleges Sindh, Prof. Nasir Ansar, Regional Director Colleges Inam Ahmed and others were also present.
