&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided in principle to set up new police lines in Mardan, Karak, Haripur and Torghar districts to further strengthen security measures in these areas.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to a notification, the PTI- led KP government has allocated 2 billion rupees to strengthen police force and provide protection to the life and property of the people.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;New police lines will be set up in Mardan at a cost of Rs 500m (US $5m) while police lines in Tor Ghar, Karak and Haripur would cost Rs 850m (US $8.6m). The notification further said that police will also have four new police stations and 14 new special patrolling posts while their infrastructure will also be upgraded.&lt;/p&gt;
