No one in Bollywood stood up for Sushant, says celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani

Celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani, while mourning the loss of Sushant Singh Rajput, called out the hypocrisy of Bollywood actors for sending out heartfelt tweets while not actually being there when he needed them. She took to Twitter and Instagram to share her feelings.

Sapna posted a picture of her with Sushant and cricketer MS Dhoni from the sets of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Captioning the post, she wrote, “It’s no secret Sushant was going through very tough times for the last few years. No one in the industry stood up for him nor did they lend a helping hand. To post about him today is the biggest display of how shallow the industry really is. No one here is your friend. RIP.”

She had worked with Sushant on the film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Indian film and television actor Sushant Singh had committed suicide at his residency in Mumbai on Sunday. He was only 34 at the time of his death.

Singh was found hanging at his home in Bandra earlier this morning. However, no suicide note has yet been found. Initial reports from the police say that he was suffering from depression for the past six months and was living alone in lockdown when he took this extreme step, According to India Today.

Police are currently investigating his death. Actor’s sudden death is mourned by his peers and colleagues who took to Twitter to pay tribute to Singh and condolences to his family.
