Alia Bhat has been finding herself surrounded by controversies constantly. The Highway star was first accused of bullying Sushant Singh Rajput and now has been accused of hurting religious sentiments.

A complaint was filed against filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, and actor Alia Bhatt, before a court, on Thursday, for hurting "Hindu sentiments" through the poster of their upcoming film Sadak 2.

The poster of Sadak 2, a sequel of the 1990's blockbuster film Sadak, features Mount Kailash, a place thought to be sacred by both Hindus and Tibetan Buddhists.

Mount Kailash is Standing at 6718 meters above sea level and considered sacred by Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains. According to Hindu belief, Lord Shiva, the destroyer of evil, sits on the mountain in perpetual meditation while Tibetan Buddhists believe that the Buddha Demchok lives on the mountain.

A case has been lodged under IPC sections 295A (deliberately outraging religious feelings) and 120B (criminal conspiracy). A Chief Judicial Magistrate has fixed the next date of hearing as July 08.
