Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas is in final talks to appear besides Hollywood heartthrob Keanu Reeves in Matrix 4, reported Variety. Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Neil Patrick Harris will also be appearing in the leading roles.

According to the report, the details of her role are yet to be disclosed.

The shooting for the film, which was halted because of the COVID-19 threat, has now resumed in North California. The cast of the film has undergone extensive fighting training to shoot their action sequence.

The fourthquel is co-written and directed by Lana Wachowski and produced by the Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow film. The plot and name of the fourth installment are yet unknown. The film is to be released in 2022.

The original film of the franchise was released in 1999, starring Reeves. The sci-fi action film was heavily influenced by martial arts-inspired productions. The critically acclaimed franchise released two more parts in 2003.
