Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-president Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday has said that that Prime Minister Imran Khan is scared of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). She shared these views while speaking to the media before departing for Islamabad to attend the PDM meeting.

Maryam Nawaz said that the public wants to get rid off of this incumbent government and they are gathering under the leadership of PDM and Mian Nawaz Sharif against this regime.

The PML-N leader said that the government is scared of the upcoming PDM Jalsa in Lahore. They are registering First Information Reports (FIR) against political workers to scare us but that would not happen. So many cases have been lodged against us that we are no longer afraid of these FIRs. "The government will soon be sent home packing," she reiterated.

It is important to mention that multiple FIRs were registered against the PDM workers for violating the coronavirus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and holding rallies, Jalsas, and other political gatherings despite a governmental ban on public gatherings.

PM Khan warns of legal action if SOPs are violated:

Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Saturday, warned opposition parties that the government would not interrupt public gatherings of the PDM but legal action would be taken against organizers and facilitators of these gatherings as they were endangering the lives of people in the face of a sharp spike in coronavirus cases and deaths.
