The Foreign Office, on Thursday, condemned India for false propaganda and urged it to stop spreading the malicious disinformation campaign against Pakistan. The move came after EU Disinfo Lab made public a report on the coordinated Indian campaign against Pakistan.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez strongly "condemned India's reprehensible tactics against Pakistan that have once again been exposed. He said India is not only spreading disinformation but also abusing international institutions in its desire to malign Pakistan.

Zahid Hafeez, during his weekly media briefing in Islamabad, said such Indian ploys of spreading misinformation are doomed to fail.

"By spreading falsehoods, India can neither cast a shadow on the international stature of Pakistan nor can divert the attention of the international community from its horrendous human rights record."

The spokesperson advised India to put its own house in order and take care of its own issues of poverty, grave human rights violations, exploitation of minority rights, and rising radicalism. He also urged international actors to take notice of the Indian disinformation campaign.

According to the report published by EU Disinfo Lab, a European non-governmental organization (NGO) against disinformation, an Indian disinformation group - comprising approximately 750 fake media outlets and 10 zombie NGOs - has been operating since 2005 while producing and amplifying content designed to undermine Pakistan.

India has been using a large number of fake media outlets, a big network of zombies and misappropriated accredited NGOs, impersonating renowned personalities to create fake profiles, and laundering content produced by fake media to real media to undermine Pakistan internationally, the report revealed.
