Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed on Friday to express solidarity to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination under the UN resolutions.

Nation will observe a one-minute silence at 10:00 am across the country. Solidarity walks have also been arranged in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, and in provincial capitals. Human chains will be formed at Kohala and other important points linking Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, Radio Pakistan reported.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan will address a public gathering at Kotli in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. And President Dr. Arif Alvi will also address the session of the AJK Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad today. Meanwhile, the opposition alliance will hold a rally in AJK's capital.

Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day every year on February 5 since the day was first observed back in 1991 when the across the spectrum political leadership of the country unanimously expressed solidarity with the Kashmiris and announced unconditional support to their cause.
