  • In the past 24 hours, 254 new coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh and 7 people succumbed to the deadly viral disease in the province.

According to the statistics shared by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), to date, 254,016 COVID-19 cases and at least 4,226 virus-related casualties have been reported in the second-most populous province of Pakistan. But the positive news is that 235,854 patients have fully recovered from the viral infection.

It's no surprise that among all the cities of the province, the metropolitan city of Karachi is the worst-hit. All six Karachi districts of the province are affected adversely by the flu bug. In total, more than 235,000 cases have been reported in Karachi, alone. This means that a staggering 92% of Covid-19 cases in Sindh emerged from Karachi.

With almost 60 thousand confirmed cases to date, the district of Karachi East has reported the highest number of infections in the region.

Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Ghotki are other districts where novel coronavirus has left a big mark and impacted thousands of lives.
