The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has been moved to stop the notification of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani’s victory in Senate polls.
According to details, Plea challenging victory of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has been filed by Advocate Azhar Siddique with the top electoral body.
It has been stated in the petition that action should be taken against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-president Maryam Nawaz and Ali Haider Gillani – Yousaf Raza Gillani’s son – over their confession of rigging the poll.
