Pakistan on Wednesday has reported 2,351 new cases and 61 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours as the third wave continues.
According to statistics shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 38,799 coronavirus tests were taken, 2,352 new confirmed cases were registered, and 61 deaths were reported countrywide in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 1,978 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country.
With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed cases stands at 612,315. Pakistan has so far recorded 13,656 coronavirus-related deaths, and a total of 575,867 patients have recovered from the novel disease.
The country has so far conducted 9603865 coronavirus tests countrywide.
According to the statistics shared by the Ministry of National Health Service, the current positivity rate is 6.0%.
