Commercial activities to be banned in ICT from 8th to 16th of this month

All bazars on Chand Raat will be closed including mehndi, jewellery and clothing stalls.

Islamabad Administration has announced new measures to check the spread of Covid-19.

According to a notification issued by the District Magistrate Office, these interventions will be implemented in the territorial jurisdiction of Islamabad from 8th May to 16th May.

The notification says that all the markets, commercial activities, businesses and shops will remain closed during this period in the capital except the essential services such as medical and grocery stores.

All bazars on Chand Raat will be closed including mehndi, jewellery and clothing stalls.

Similarly, all the tourist and picnic spots will be closed as well.

All kinds of inter-provincial, intercity and intra city public transport will be banned in the capital. However the ban will not be applicable to private vehicles, taxis and cars with fifty percent occupancy and medical and other emergency services transport.
