Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said children suffering from thalassemia disease deserve special attention from society.

In his message on world Thalassemia Day on Saturday, he said the purpose to mark this day is to raise public awareness about the disease.

The Chief Minister said that the provision of quality healthcare facilities for thalassemia patients is a top priority, and different measures have been taken in this regard.

He said that is the need of hour to reiterate our commitment to promoting a healthy society in the country.
