LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr has announced a two-month remission for prisoners. Hundreds of prisoners will be able to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families at home.
Usman Bazdar in a statement said that the outdated prison manual will be changed according to the new requirements and bring relief into the lives of the prisoners.
The Punjab Chief Minister further said that prisoners are also human beings and the government is committed to give basic rights to prisoners.
