PML-N Vice president Maryam Nawaz arrived in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to campaign ahead of the July 25 polls on Thursday.

She reminded the rally that she is Kashmiri with Kashmiri blood in her veins; that she stands in solidarity with both sides.

She called her father the son of Kashmir, vowing that he would fight every fight for Kashmiris.

"He will fight for your rights, he will fight for your independence and he will see to it that victory falls into your very laps," she said.

She said there were some concerns for her safety but her father told her not to worry and go to Kashmir.

"You have nothing to fear from Kashmiris," she told the crowds.

She praised all the workers of the PML-N who have "stood tall in defiance like a mountain".

She addressed the issue of party members leaving to join the PTI ahead of the polls.

If the government is so confident of their contestants in the AJK polls, "why did you feel the need to turn two of ours?"

She talked about her rally in Muzaffarabad which was scheduled for later today.

"I will also talk about how when the one who stole your votes, deprived you of wheat, sugar, electricity and medicines, what things you must ask him, what you must ask Imran Khan."

While warning of any attempt to steal the election, she said the party today was different. "Muslim League Noon now knows how to pry every stolen seat from your grasp."

On July 25, at least 2.8 million voters in Azad Kashmir will vote for 45 seats of the Azad Kashmir legislative assembly.
