According to new figures released by NCOC on Friday morning, of the 25,215 people who tested for coronavirus, 1,425 tested positive. This brings the positivity rate down to 5.65%. This takes the total cases reported so far to one million.
The NCOC said 11 people died in the last 24 hours.
One month ago the total cases stood at 900,000.
Friday's total tally shows fears expressed of a fourth wave during Eid may prove true.
