Monday's figures released by NCOC on their website show that Pakistan's coronavirus positivity rate has jumped to 7.51%, the highest it's been since May.

The organization, which updates its portal daily and tweets the same, said 3752 people tested positive in the last 24 hours. This figure is significantly higher than the previous day which recorded 2891 cases of positivity.

NCOC claims this is the highest number of cases reported since May 21 when 4007 cases were reported. It was also thereabouts on May 19 when the positivity rate was 8.23%.

These figures caught the attention of Pakistan's president who urged the nation to "get serious" in his tweets with the figures:

The NCOC has issued new guidelines for domestic travel over the weekend saying it will only allow vaccinated people to fly. This will take effect from August 1, ostensibly to allow people time to get vaccinated.
