Wednesday's figures released by NCOC reports no signs of the coronavirus slowing down. Of the 57,398 people who tested in the last 24 hours, 4,722 tested positive. This puts the positivity rate at 8.22%.

The NCOC also reported 46 deaths.

There are now a total of 78,595 active cases in Pakistan.

With the new figures, the total number of deaths stands at 23,575 whereas 945,829 people recovered from the disease.

The NCOC is working hard to vaccinate people. Wednesday's tweet shows that it vaccinated 1,139,580 people in the last 24 hours.

Several long lines were witnessed across vaccination centers in Karachi as thousands rushed to get vaccinated before deadlines of having their SIMs blocked.
