As condolences poured in on Thursday on the passing of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf's Faisal Vawda's mother, one PML-N leader's message has come under scrutiny for being in poor taste.

In her reply to Vawda's tweet announcing the death of his mother, PML-N MPA and party's information secretary in Punjab Azma Zahid Bokhari, included a short clip of the PTI leader slamming PML-N for using Kulsoom Nawaz's death for political mileage.

Bokhari tweeted her condolence and uploaded the video wherein Vawda is discussing Kulsoom Nawaz's health, saying had his mother been ill and on ventilator he'd be in tears, leave everything but instead, he said making a dig at members of the Sharif family, they were using the occasion to gain sympathy.

The clip shows Ms Bokhari as a participant in Kamran Shahid's show but does not include her rebuttal to Vawda.

Many criticized Bokhari's tweet as disrespectful and not appropriate for the occassion while some said she used it to point out the hypocrisy.

Others used the opportunity to remind how tragedies require people to put personal differences aside, citing examples of PML-N leader's condolence notes to Vawda.

Vawda is no stranger to controversy.

In an argument with Bokhari during a TV show in 2018 he told her: "Jayen, jayen. Apnay ghar ka choohla jalayen. (Go, go! Tend to your kitchen.)"

He was slammed for his comments then.
