Data revealed by the National Command and Operation Centre on Wednesday show a slight decline in the daily number of Covid cases in the last two days. The positivity rate has fallen to 4.78% and Pakistan has recorded 2,714 cases of coronavirus in the last day.

This is the first time since July 24 that the positivity rate is below 5%.

NCOC also said 73 people died of coronavirus which puts the death toll to 26,938.

NCOC says 56,733 coronavirus tests were taken and with the 2,714 which tested positive, the total number of cases stands as 1,212,809.

Active cases are now under 80,000 for the first time since early August.

NCOC data also shows that Pakistan has administered at least 70m Covid vaccines so far as Wednesday's statistics show.
