The Supreme Court has asked the prosecution to present its evidence against Ismat Adamjee, the mother of Zahir Jaffer, the man accused of murdering Noor Mukadam murder case, at the next hearing on October 18.

The court was hearing the bail pleas of ​​Zahir's parents Zakir Jaffer and Adamjee, which they filed after the Islamabad High Court rejected their bail pleas.

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah asked where in the IHC order did Adamjee's name appear.

Justice Umar Ata Bandial said in its order denying the couple's bail, the IHC doesn't mention Adamjee's name.

The parent's lawyer Khawaja Haris has argued that his clients were in Karachi at the time Noor Mukaddam was murdered in Islamabad on July 20.

The judges said they were asking this information to better understand the case.

The court ordered the prosecution to present its evidence against Adamjee at the next hearing.

The hearing was adjourned till October 18.

The sessions court in Islamabad has fixed Oct 14 for the indictment of suspects in the case.

A total of 12 people will be indicted in the case: Zahir and his parents, three household staff and six Therapy Works employees.
