The prices of all petroleum products are expected to increase by up to Rs8 from October 16 (tomorrow) for the next 16 days, according to an Aaj News report.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the Petroleum Division suggesting changes in the prices.

OGRA has suggested Rs5.90 per litre increase in price of petrol and Rs9.75 per litre increase in price of diesel, according to a Geo report.

The final decision will be taken by the Ministry of Finance after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Within the span of one month, the government increased the prices of petroleum products twice — on September 16 and October 1.

Currently, the petrol price is Rs127.30 per litre, HSD Rs122.04, kerosene Rs99.31 and LDO Rs99.51.
