Pakistanis across the country on Tuesday marked Eid Milad un Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The day is a public holiday.

The day will be marked with 31 and 21-gun salutes in the capital and provincial capitals, respectively and Naat conferences across the country. Many places will light fireworks as well.

Several institutes and buildings use the opportunity to light up their premises and many people also light up their houses as a way to observe this spiritual day.

PTI tweeted an image of Prime Minister Imran Khan's home in Bani Gala bathed in lights.

One user shared a video clip of children at a milad from the past.

Other users also took to Twitter to share images of light up venues marking Eid Milad ud Nabi.

A post with images of the capital from the skies was especially shared.

PTI also shared an image of the PM office in Islamabad on Monday night.
