Cold, dry weather expected in most parts of country

Very cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

Frost is likely to occur at few places in Pothohar region during morning hours.

Dense fog is likely to prevail in upper Sindh, plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during night/morning.

Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad three degree centigrade, Lahore seven, Karachi fifteen, Peshawar five, Quetta and Gilgit minus five, Murree minus two and Muzaffarabad one degree centigrade.

According to Met office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in Srinagar and Leh, cold, dry and foggy in Jammu, while very cold and dry weather is expected in Pulwama, Anantang, Shopian and Baramula.

Temperature recorded this morning: Srinagar, Pulwama, Baramula and Shopian minus one degree centigrade, Jammu six, Leh minus ten and Anantnag minus two degree centigrade.
