Shaheen Shah Afridi has done it again. The Lahore Qalandars captain turned the tables on Peshawar Zalmi on Monday by showcasing stellar batting skills. Afridi took the game to a thrilling super over and Twitterati are singing his praises.

“Shaheen the great Afridi,” said one user.

“First with the ball and now with the bat.... One can not play you and the other one can not bowl you,” said a fan.

Afridi came on the field when Qalandars needed 24 runs in the final over to win the match against Zalmi. Afridi levelled the scored forcing PSL’s first super over of the season.

Qalandars might have lost the match in the super over, but the team captain won many hearts.

Many social media users compared him to his to-be father in law Shahid Afridi.

The former is engaged to the latter’s daughter. "Afridis have eight tribes, Shaheen and we belong to different tribes," Shahid Afridi said in an interview.

Shahid Afridi also took to Twitter during the Qalandars and Zalmi match to appreciate Shaheen Shah Afridi for his performance.

“The legacy remains,” tweeted one user.

“We have witnessed Shahid Afridi in form of Shaheen Afridi,” said one excited fan.
