Social media users are calling out Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill who verbally abused PTI MNA Ramesh Kumar on live TV on Thursday.

During an interview hosted by anchorperson Kamran Shahid on Dunya News, regarding the current political situation of the country, Gill lost his cool and repeatedly used profanities against Kumar.

Calling him a “corrupt person” and a “sellout” Gill also accused Kumar of selling fake cancer medicines in Punjab.

Earlier in the day, Kumar had severed ties with PTI and claimed that “three federal ministers have quit the ruling party,” ahead of the no-confidence motion against the PM.

Responding to Gill’s accusations, Kumar said, “Imran Khan is a good person but he had the wrong advisers.”

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan called out Gill for his crass language against Kumar on the show.

“HRCP is revolted by politician Shahbaz Gill 's crass choice of words for his colleague Ramesh Kumar,” said HRCP in a tweet.

One person dubbed Shahbaz Gill and two federal ministers the reason for “Imran Khan’s downfall.”

“This is the most shameful thing I have ever seen on Pakistani media,” said one user.

Many users also called out anchorperson Shahid for not stopping Gill from using abusive language on his show.

“Is it me or someone else who has noticed this kind of lousy language is mainly used in the Kamran Shahid programme?” asked one person, sharing a hilarious video from Dawn’s Zara Hat Kay on the matter.

While some like Jibran Nasir, wondered where Pemra stood on this segment
