Another police inspector targeted and killed in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: In another incident of target killing, unidentified gunmen shot dead Inspector Sehar Gul on Wednesday, said a police official.

The murder happened in the jurisdiction of Inqilab police station.

Inspector Gul was posted as the reserve inspector(RI) at Frontier Reserve Police (FRP). He was taking his children to school when the gunmen opened fire, killing Gul. However, his children are safe.

The crime scene and adjacent areas were cordoned off, while a search operation was conducted to locate the culprits.

The body was shifted to a local hospital for post-mortem. His funeral prayers will be offered at Malik Shaheed Police Line.

Last week, terrorists killed SHO Shakil Khan in the jurisdiction of Chamkani police station.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Muzzam Jah Ansari while talking to media said police had traced the accused involved in Khan’s murder and that they will be arrestd soon.
