In a fresh act of state terrorism by Indian troops, forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, reported Radio Pakistan on Tuesday.

The Indian troops and paramilitary forces conducted a search operation in Rajpora village of the district where they shot dead the two young men.

The troops continued search operation in multiple districts including Srinagar, Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipore, Shopian, Islamabad, Kulgam, Doda, Rajouri and Poonch.

At least 11 Kashmiri youth have been martyred by Indian forces in the last five days following the conviction of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik last week.

An Indian court sentenced Malik to life imprisonment for funding “terrorist” activities and other charges, a judge said, prompting street protests outside the politician’s residence.

Malik, head of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), had told a special court designated for the National Investigation Agency that he had been following Gandhian principles and non-violent politics in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir after giving up arms in the 1990s.

Pakistan described the move as abhorrent and condemned the Indian court’s decision to convict Malik.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has also expressed deep concerns over the judgment.
