Torrential rains are expected countrywide from Monday (today), according to the Met Office. The National Disaster Management Authority has directed the institutions concerned to remain alert. Clouds will enter Karachi on June 21 with strong winds.

PTI chief Imran Khan has warned of the Sri Lanka-like situation in Pakistan, saying that “the bomb of inflation is going to explode”. He reiterated his demand for early elections in the country in a live address on Sunday.

Reacting to the PTI chief’s Sunday address, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb alleged that Imran Khan was hiding in his Bani Gala residence. “His [Imran] revolution can only come on TV screen and helicopter,” she said in a tweet.

The Balochistan government would present its more than Rs580 billion worth of budget for the financial year 2022-23. The budget deficit is expected to be Rs100 billion.

President Arif Alvi again refuses to sign the election electoral reforms bill. He was of the view that the use of technology would help in bringing transparency to the electoral process.

Pakistan’ Noor Zaman won the Asian Junior Squash Championship after defeating the Malaysian opponent with a score of three to one.
