Four soliders were martyred in a suciide attack on a military convoy in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
“Shuhada include Lance Naik Shahzaib (age 22 years, resident of Mansehra), Lance Naik Sajjad (age 26 years, resident of District Ghizer), Sepoy Umair (age 25 years, resident of Kohat) & Sepoy Khurram (age 30 years, resident Narowal),” said the Inter-Services Public Relations.
It said that intelligence agencies had commenced investigations to find out the details regarding the suicide bomber and his handlers and facilitators.
President Arif Alvi condemned the attack in a tweet while extending condolence to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack.
“Such cowardly attacks cannot weken our resolve to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and its strands from our land.”
“The whole nation including me is saddened and saddened by the martyrdom of 4 soldiers in a suicide attack in Mir Ali, North Waziristan,” said a tweet from PM Shehbaz Sharif.
