German 9/11 planner might be hiding in Pakistan

German 911 planner might be hiding in PakistanA German national on the CIA's most-wanted list for providing logistics and finances to the 911 attackers might be hiding in Pakistan, officials in that country have said. Security officials say they have recovered the passport of Said Bhaji, a member of the so-called Hamburg Cell, during an operation in South Waziristan district.
"The passport has an entry stamp of September 4, 2001," said an official who spoke on condition of anonymity. "This shows that this terrorist came to Pakistan days before the attacks in the United States." "He might have travelled from here to Afghanistan to inform al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden about the plan and its execution time," the official added.
Bahaji, a Moroccan-German, lived with Mohammed Atta, who led the four hijacking teams responsible for carrying out the deadly attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001. Bahaji is believed to have been the internet expert of the cell.
