Several shops were damaged on Monday when a bomb exploded in front of music CD shops in Mardan.

The blast took place just before dawn in Chatu Chowk in Mardan and destroyed more than 10 shops. No one was injured in the blast.

Owners of the shops said they had received threats from unknown persons to stop the business. The shopkeepers demanded of the government to provide security.

No group claimed responsibility for the blast.

Police have started investigation and searching for those responsible for the attack.
