LPG prices increased by Rs5 per kg

The marketing companies have increased the prices of LPG by Rs 5 per kilogram in view of increase its prices in international market.

The new prices of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) in different cities would be as under: 10.5 kg domestic cylinder will be Rs.1,121 to 1,180 in Lahore, Gujranwala, Dera Gazi Khan and Karachi, Rs. 1,180-1,239 in Sialkot, Faisalbad and Sargodha, Rs. 1,239-1,298 for 11 Kg in Multan, Rs. 1,357 to 1,416 for 12 kg in Murree, Rahim Yar Khan and Muzaffarbad, Rs. 1,475-1,534 for 13 kg in Bagh, Azad Kashmir, FATA and Swat , Rs. 1,357-1,298) for 15 kg in Kohat and Rs.1,298-1,357 for 11.5 kg in Peshawar, Bahawalpur,Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

The pre-planned increase in LPG prices by marketing companies and producers have reduced 60 per cent consumption of LPG.

Muhammed Irfan Khokhar, chairman of LPG Distributors Association Pakistan and FPCCI LPG zonal standing committee said that LPG marketing companies have been fined earlier by OGRA on the request of LPG distributors over increasing in prices without permission by the authorities.

He said that LPG marketing companies had not imported any kind of gas despite of that they are selling local gas as imported gas and he asked the government to review the LPG prices and stop that black mafia.
