Celebrated Senegalese-American singer, songwriter and producer Akon will be meeting underprivileged children on the eve of his birthday in Mumbai.

After raising 25 lakhs from the Bryan Adams concert for his non-governmental organization (NGO), actor Suniel Shetty is again in focus with the Akon concert.

His wife, Mana Shetty’s NGO, Save The Children India, will be receiving an exclusive privilege on April 15 in Mumbai which most musical fans die for.

The underprivileged children will be meeting Akon on the eve of his birthday at a special non-media meet and greet session.

Most of the underprivileged children expressed their desire to meet the Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum artist, whose worldwide sales top 7 million units and dance on his songs, to Suniel Shetty who cordially requested Akon for the same.

The international artist, who also runs an NGO by the name of Konfidence, didn’t have the heart to decline and readily agreed to spare an hour in spite of being on a tight schedule.

In fact, he has custom made goodies to distribute them to the underprivileged children and bring a smile to their faces on the eve of his birthday.

Sources have also said that Akon and Suniel will be doing ‘something’ for the Japan Relief Fund after news of a second earthquake in Japan were reported on Thursday.
