The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has declared the degree of Chairman Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Tauqir Sadiq as fake, Aaj News reported on Saturday.

According to HEC officials, Chairman OGRA claims that he earned his degree from London, but no record has been found either in USA or England regarding that.

Tauqeer Sadiq had acquired his master's degree from non-verified University, said officials.

Prior to this his degree was challenged in high court. On orders of Islamabad High Court investigation about his degree was done.
