Lahore schools reopen after 10 days closure

All private and government schools in Lahore reopened from Monday after being closed for ten days due to dengue threat.

Schools will follow new timings of 9am to 3pm for two months.

It was observed that many students did not follow the instructions of wearing full sleeves shirts and full pants. Parents complained that the school administration did not tell them about the change in time and uniform and that they were not satisfied with the steps taken to control dengue spread.

Secretary Schools Education Punjab issued a notification of keeping schools closed from September 14 to 24 in order to take maximum anti-dengue measures that included fumigation and other preventive measures against dengue virus.

It was also instructed that the students would wear full sleeves shirts, socks and shoes in order to avoid mosquito bite.
