Pakistan ranks 3rd among countries most dangerous for journalists
Eighty-two reporters have been killed in the line of duty around the world since early this year, said the Director of the International Press Institute Alison McKenzie in Taipei. She was speaking during the ongoing media forum in Taiwan.
Mexico has proved the most dangerous place for reporters to work in, with at least 10 investigative journalists killed there this year. All of them were engaged in inquiring into the activities of drug groups.
The second most dangerous place happened to be Iraq, followed by Pakistan. North Africa and the Middle East were also found to be insecure.
